2. Do We Sell or Share Your Personal Information?

2.1 Definition of 'Sale' and 'Sharing' Under CCPA/CPRA

Under the CCPA/CPRA, 'sale' means disclosing personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration. 'Sharing' means disclosing personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioural advertising, regardless of monetary exchange.

2.2 Our Data Practices

We operate as an affiliate marketing website. The following data flows may constitute a 'sale' or 'sharing' under CCPA/CPRA:

Data Flow CCPA Classification Details
Transmitting registration data (email, DOB, gender, preferences) to our affiliate partner via API May constitute a Sale/Sharing You provide explicit consent to this transfer at the point of registration. You may opt out below to prevent future transfers.
Sharing pseudonymous identifiers with Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google, TikTok, Snapchat, Quora, NewsBreak, Microsoft (Bing Ads), and Taboola via advertising pixels and server-side tracking technologies Sharing (cross-context behavioural advertising) These pixels are only activated with cookie consent. Opting out below will suppress pixel firing for California residents.
Click ID and session data passed to Binom (our internal tracker) Not a Sale — internal processing only Binom is our own self-hosted system. Data does not leave our infrastructure.
Redirect link clicks (no form data collected) Not a Sale — no PI transferred We earn a commission but no personal data is transmitted.
⚠ Even where we believe a data flow does not constitute a 'sale', we provide the opt-out below as a good-faith measure to respect California residents' privacy preferences.

2.3 Categories of Personal Information Involved

The categories of personal information that may be sold or shared include:

  • Identifiers (email address, IP address, cookie identifiers, click IDs)
  • Personal characteristics (date of birth, gender)
  • Sensitive personal information (gender preferences / sexual orientation indicators)
  • Internet or electronic activity (browsing behaviour on our Website, ad interactions)
  • Inferences drawn from the above (e.g. interest in dating services)

7. Additional California Privacy Rights

7.1 Shine the Light (California Civil Code § 1798.83)

California residents may request information once per year about disclosures of their personal information to third parties for those third parties' direct marketing purposes. If applicable, this information includes the categories of personal information disclosed and the names and addresses of third parties that received such information during the immediately preceding calendar year.

To submit a Shine the Light request, contact us at: privacy@amour-haven.com with subject: "Shine the Light Request"

7.2 Eraser Law (California Business and Professions Code § 22581)

If you are a California resident under the age of 18 who has registered on our Website (which should not have occurred as our services are for adults only), you may request removal of content or information you posted. Please contact us immediately at privacy@amour-haven.com if you believe a minor's data has been collected.

8. Global Privacy Control (GPC)

The California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) requires businesses to honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal — a browser-level opt-out signal indicating the user's preference not to have their personal information sold or shared.

We are in the process of implementing technical support for the GPC signal. Once implemented, our Website will automatically treat a GPC-enabled browser visit from a California IP address as an opt-out of sale/sharing, without requiring you to submit this form.

You can enable GPC in supported browsers and extensions. Learn more at: globalprivacycontrol.org

ℹ Until GPC is fully implemented on our Website, please use the opt-out form in Section 3 to submit your request manually.
